WHY DONATE?

I'm running two half marathons in 2013 to support two great charities. The first is the Chestnut Appeal, a great charity supporting those with prostate cancer.  My dad Bryan Chillery benefited from this charity before he died of the disease in December 2011.  Dad ran the Plymouth Half Marathon a few times in aid of the Chestnut Appeal. My sister Mindy and I ran it in 2012 in his memory and we are doing it again on 28 April 2013! 

I'm then running the Chester Half Marathan on 12 May in aid of the Countess of Chester Hospital Babygrow Appeal which will improve the neonatal facilities including resources for anxious parents. My daughter Bessie was born at the Countess in December 2007 weighing only 2lb 3oz (1.06 kilos).  I am very grateful for the wonderful care she and I received which undoubtedly was a key factor in her survival.
