I started to run back in 2003 when mum died to complete the Race for Life. Back then 5km seemed daunting!! I still don't class myself as a typical 'runner'. I'm certainly not fast!! I'm just able to plod around for longer without getting so breathless- the hills are still killers!!

I'm doing this to inspire all those middle-aged ladies! If I can do this then really ANYONE can!! But I haven't done it yet! Please help to encourage me through those long wet, cold and windy training runs by sponsoring me to help me reach my target. I'm not very good at asking for money and always said I'd never ask for sponsorship to run unless I was doing a marathon (never thinking I would!!) So, any support, however small, would be so gratefully received, thanks!
