I am joining other members of Lancashire branch of the marine conservation society in swimming the Piel Island Channel on Sunday the 17th Aug.the swim will take place at low water 10.30 am. supporters welcome, non swimmers can take the ferry to the Island from Roe Island, the pub on Piel Island will be open where we hope to partake of a celebratory drink.
