About a year ago, my coursemate Dom and I naively signed up to the Birmingham Half Marathon thinking it would be a breeze. Fast forward a year and we are both a little anxious at the prospect of running just over 13 miles.

I am running/walking/hobbling for Kids Adventure, an incredibly worthy local charity that works with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, taking them on fantastic day trips to zoos, museums and theme parks in and around Birmingham over the period of a week.

I would be incredibly grateful for any donations, however small!
