Having supported family members, both recently and in the past, in providing care for loved ones with dementia, I have seen the devastating impact that this has on the family, especially those with responsibility for care.

The very recent loss of a loved one prompted me to take action in raising funds for such a worthy cause as the Alzheimer's Society. Therefore, I was thrilled to hear about the Alzheimer's Society Cupcake Day, particularly as the loved one we lost happened to be a very talented baker and confectioner.
