4th Gildersome Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are taking part in the "Little Sleep In" on Friday 1st May to raise money for the charity "Simon on the Streets". They will be pitching tents and building dens at their homes. It could be in their  living room or back garden - anywhere but their own beds! Then they'll be getting cosy for a "little sleep in" ready for kick off at 8pm! This is to raise awareness of the plight of homeless people in the UK and to raise money for the charity Simon on the Streets.

Simon on the Streets exists to provide support to those people in our community, who are often excluded from, or who refuse the intervention of other services, with a view to empower them to change their lives.Adopting a usually long term approach, we achieve this by providing our service users support directly on the street through outreach. Our support is unconditional, all times of day and night. We provide motivation towards accessing a wide range of services to help improve the health of our service users and life choices they make.
