We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

Last year my colleague Mikey & his wife Annie tragically lost their little girl Isla to a rare brain tumour.  With the hope that families in the future may be spared this devastating experience, they have set up the Isla Cecil Brighter Future Fund to raise money via various fundraising events for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s research consortium.

To this end Mikey has bought a bike & is busy training for a 15 day 1,000 mile cycle tour around the UK in July, visiting the places he & Annie took Isla.  Keen to help, I agreed to join him on days 11 & 12 of this trip, a total of around 150 miles.  In all over 100 cyclists are joining at various stages.

It’s much further than I’ve ever cycled, so am busy training, have started spinning classes & doing longer rides.  A long way to go still, & I need all the incentive I can get!  Thankfully Dean is joining too so I have some much needed moral support.  But if any of you are kind enough to sponsor me please, no matter how little as it all helps, it really is appreciated, thank you...
