In a moment of madness and perhaps one too many glasses of wine I agreed with a couple of friends to do the Great North Run, and as if to test my commitment to this, when the ballot was done my two friends both got a place, but not me.  By this point I was looking forward to tackling the 13.1 miles, so I took a moment and resolved as I really wanted to do it I could do it for a reason rather than just crazy self gratification, I could raise money for a worthy cause, it didn't take me long to make my choice, there was only one that I felt worthy, Guide Dogs! 

They do such important work, changing peoples lives and I want to be part of that by helping them.
