I enjoyed running the Bromsgrove Bloodwise 10k in 2019 and like so many people was disappointed when the event couldn’t take place last year. 

As the 2021 virtual challenge could be completed on any day in May, I thought it would be fitting to run it on 19th May to remember my Dad’s birthday. Dad sadly passed away from cancer in 2002 but he inspired me to start running. I have many happy memories of going running with him, starting in the 1980s.

Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.
