Last year I had great fun running the Great North Run and as a result decided to enter the ballot for the London Marathon, not for one minute thinking I would get a place but I did!

I had always wanted to run this event and to mark the occasion I have decided to raise money for the Gossett Ward at Northampton General Hospital.

Gossett Ward is the neonatel intensive care unit which cares for new born babies who need special care. The dedicated and professional care on this ward saved the life of the son of someone who has had a massive impact on my life in the last couple of years so this is my chance to say thank you.
