Story

James & Amanda met in Charlotte after college and have lived there for more than 20 years. James graduated from Duke University and works at Voya Financial. Amanda graduated with a nursing degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. She recently came out of retirement to work on the “front lines” of the pandemic giving Covid vaccinations. Many days you can find them both on the tennis courts playing doubles with friends. They have 2 children - their oldest, Colter, runs XC/track at Davidson University and their daughter, Sutton, is a year round swimmer and rising high school junior at Providence Day School. The Nichols became involved with Samaritans Feet in 2015 through a life-changing father/son mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Manny and his son Wale. The Nichols are super excited to spread hope on a global scale in partnership with Samaritan’s Feet!
