Hello friends, I am running 5k a day for REFUGE’s 16 days of active-ism challenge .....
Why 16 days?
16 days of activism against gender based violence is an international initiative created by the UN which aims to challenge violence against women and girls globally. It starts on the 25th November which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women till 10th December which is Human Rights day.
By taking part in this challenge, we are honouring their memories and standing in solidarity with every woman still fighting to be safe and free. At Refuge, we will never stop until every woman and their child lives a life free from fear and abuse.

The money we raise will directly support life-saving services – including a 24/7 National Domestic Abuse Helpline, specialist support teams, and network of refuges. I used to volunteer for Victim Support and I just know how crucial Refuge is for the victims and their families and friends.
