Richard House Children's Hospice London Marathon 2021

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
I have been awarded the chance to run the London Marathon by my running club, Barking Road Runners.
Truthfully speaking I have never really liked running or cross-country as a kid. I remember trying to find any excuse to miss PE lessons, if running was involved. So fast forward to 48 years of my life and I have actually joined my local running club!
I met the friendly BRR club members through my local parkrun, which gave me a perfect extension to my new found love of parkrunning!
Throughout 2018/2019, I trained with BRR at track sessions, joining in various cross-country and road races around East London and Essex plus I continued my weekly parkruns.
After my first full season with BRR, I was pleasantly surprised to have accumulated enough club points for a London Marathon place!
So in 2020, I will be running my first ever marathon and what better way to mark the year that I finally turn 50! This will also allow me to give something back to my hometown's lovely community, help raise some vital funds for this amazing charity. Richard House Children's Hospice is also our Club's chosen charity.
There is no denying, it is going to be tough trying to fit in all the training miles with house and children duties. But I know with the support from my dear family and friends, I will have a great chance to finish my next challenge!
I would really appreciate any kind of support you can give me in the way of sponsorship, however big or small, it will all count.
Thank you very much in advance for your kind support and generosity.
My page donations will be sent direct to the charity in a fast and secure way. It's efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity.
Let's do this together, bring on the London Marathon!
