Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For the last week or so, the idea of doing something for the 2.6 challenge has been growing in my mind. I am not a marathon runner, so my initial thought was to cycle 26 miles. But this weekend was - but for COVID-19 - due to be my daughter’s first rugby tour. So I hit upon the idea of trying to cycle to 26 different London rugby grounds. I’m going to take in all sizes - from community and mini rugby grounds through to Championship, Premiership and International.
My route is 40 miles long - which is nearly twice as long as I’ve attempted before. I’m not aiming for a particular time, just to find at least one set of rugby posts to photograph at each ground, to finish the course and hopefully to raise a bit of money for the NDCS as a way of making up for Cora’s lost rugby tour.
There will be lots of charities and people asking for your support this weekend, so it’s OK if you can’t donate to this one. But I hope you can give a little, or at least leave a message of support.
