Story

I am running the London Marathon in memory of my uncle, Martin Lewis, a retired police officer who was injured in a bicycle accident during the first lockdown. Sadly, Uncle Martin passed away following the accident, but my family have chosen to support the SIA in his memory. Uncle Martin is my dads brother.

In the accident, Uncle Martin sustained spinal injuries along with injuries to the brain. It was clear that support would have been required by organisations such as the SIA, if he would have survived.

My family want to make sure that everyone who is spinal cord injured can access the support and expertise that they need to live a fulfilled life after injury.

I'm joining #TeamSIA and taking on the London Marathon 2021. Please sponsor me to support the vital work that SIA do to help everyone affected by SCI.

Thank You,

The Lewis Family.
