I am a consultant eye doctor with a special interest in childrens eye diseases. Every week I see children in my clinic with eye problems, for which we have little understanding of the cause, have little information to give parents and have no good treatments. The Gift Of Sight Paediatric fund has been set up to fund early stage research into childrens eye diseases.The research it funds focusses on the priorities of patients (Information, Diagnosis and Evaluating treatments) and the transfer of research knowledge into the clinic.
