Jayne's Forget-me-not Ride

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am cycling 70 miles on 5 June with my mate Mike. I have 2 weeks to train and raise sponsorship after just getting the go ahead from my physio after acute shoulder injury and need your kind support to help me battle the miles. I last did 70 miles in 1985 on a bike borrowed from JEJames and cycled from John O Groats to Lands End with a friend, unsupported, with a tent strapped to the cross bar and panniers of pans, pants and peanuts. We cycled for Ashgate Hospice before it opened. Since then I have been hit by a car, hospitalised after a bike accident and electrocuted when volunteering at a donkey sanctuary but remain determined to go the distance to raise money for Aahgate in memory of my mum who dedicated her last 14 years working at Ashgate but sadly died 6 months before the new wing that she had pioneered was opened by Prince Edward in 2005. Ashgate and so many hospices like it provide essential services to our communities and I do hope you can support; every pledge really helps.
