Thames Path Challenge 2021 · 11 September 2021 to 12 September 2021 ·

We are Ovarian Cancer Action. 🩵 As the UK's leading ovarian cancer research charity, we’re working to change that. By finding new and better ways to prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, we will ensure a future where no woman dies of ovarian cancer.

Story

On the 28th September 1995 my Mum, Hazel lost her battle with ovarian cancer aged just 52.

Originally planned for the September 2020, I will now be undertaking the Thames Path Challenge, with my brother Andrew, over the weekend of 11th and 12th September.  The 100 km walk starts in Putney and finishes in Henley-on-Thames and apart from rest stops on the way there will be no sleeping!  We are doing this challenge to honour our Mum's memory by raising money to fund research into the disease and to raise awareness of ovarian cancer.
