Story

Jayne’s story.

I’m 52 I have lived in Whittle-le-Woods for most of my life.

Five years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I was treated at CDH & Rosemear. Unfortunately last October my cancer returned and I am now Terminal with palliative care only. Each week I get blood taken in our very busy phlebotomy unit at Chorley Hospital, this has turned into my nemesis!

People who have had Chemo or have immune problems or the very young or even if you’re veins are just playing hide and seek to get blood can be difficult and painful.

My fundraiser is to supply CDH phlebotomy unit with vein lights to be used for the location of veins. It will cut down on the time a phlebotomist needs to find a vein and give them the best shot at hitting it first time so less painful

😖

.

As well as my Just Giving I want to bring a sense of community back.

My birthday this year, 6th July, might be my last but I want to share it and raise money

💰

.

Please come and support me and my family. We have a Mega Raffle with over 50 prizes ( tickets will also be found in local shops and pubs)

Live Music from 4pm until 10pm.

Stalls, Bouncy Castle & Face painting for the children.

All we need is you, your money, and an hour of your time to help me celebrate.

Hope to see you on the 6th July at the Alms cottages at the Top of Shaw Brow, Whittle-le-Woods.

Any donations for stalls greatly appreciated.
