Amanda and I decided we wanted to take on a challenge so one rainy summer afternoon we were looking at walking challenges on the iPad and the next thing we knew we had clicked enter! The challenge is 100k (62 miles) from Richmond Park to Brighton Race Course starting at 9.00 am on Saturday 28th May, walking all day and all night (no sleeping!) until 2.00 pm Sunday 29th. We have been training already and we will give it our very best shot to complete the challenge and raise as much as we can for our charities.

British Heart Foundation is my chosen charity as I have been diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis. I believe that if we try to continue to raise money and awareness it may help transform the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions. So many people, from babies born with life threatening heart problems, to the many mums, dads and grandparents who survive a heart attack and still endure the daily battles of heart failure continue to need the help and support from this charity.

Just a little update, we had a charity event last month and raised £545.00 each for our charities and thanks to everyone who helped us reach that amazing total. Only another week to go now! 👣👣
