Story

Two years ago Chelsea Physic Garden got the green light to embark on the restoration of its late Victorian teak and cast-iron glasshouses. Despite best efforts to maintain the glasshouses, after a century of constant use, the glasshouses need urgent repair.

The conservation designs are finalised, the entire glasshouse plant collections have been reviewed and plans are in place to share the soon-to-be restored heritage with everyone. Our task now is to raise the final £1m to complete the restoration, through the Hothouse Challenge. To find out more about the project please go to www.chelseaphysicgarden.co.uk/hothouse

A group of us from Chelsea Physic Garden are spinning the wheels of fortune and cumulatively cycling the distance to South Africa over 6 months to raise some funds.  Come rain or shine, we really lycra a challenge...

Please support me by donating, the total will then be generously doubled by The John Browne Charitable Trust so you'll make double the impact. The project will do more than restore the glasshouses, every donation will protect the Gardens amazing plant collections, and help share their stories through activities. Wheels up! (or just on the road).
