Taking on the UKs highest Skydive - for Mam!

Ashgate Hospicecare's Skydive Day 2021 · 11 July 2021 ·
On Sunday 11th July 2021 I will be doing the UK's highest skydive to raise vital funds for Ashgate Hospicecare in North Derbyshire.
I am doing this in the loving memory of my mum, Gilly, who sadly passed away earlier this year after a short battle with cancer.
Mam was the strongest, most courageous and beautiful person I've ever known, with the purest of souls. Much like myself she was a dreamer. She was stubborn (a true Leo!) and made her dreams happen, always following her heart. That's why I jumped at this opportunity. Mam was at one when around nature, most at home among the hills and sheep up in the Lakes and Peaks - I'll definitely take a little bit of her up with me so she can see the amazing views for herself!!
The care she received in the last few weeks of her life was second to none, and I would like to thank all the staff at Ashgate from the bottom of my heart; they tended to my mum as if she was their own and spoke with myself and my family with the utmost compassion and respect.
Ashgate provide specialist palliative and end of life care, free of charge, to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across North Derbyshire. They rely on the generosity of their supporters, without them, the hospice would not be able to carry on as it is now. Every penny counts - together we will make a difference to the lives of those who Ashgate Hospice support on a daily basis.
Thank you so much.
