When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives. 

In the last year my Grandpa has had mulitiple strokes which has now lead to Vascular Dementia. It has changed him as a person but he is now happy in his new home and we have come to terms with the changes it has made to him. 

I am doing this to raise awareness of Stroke and how important time is when you think someone is having one.

This saying can change a life between recovery or life changing times for the patient and all their family and friends. 

This is my running journey I am going on this next year, it will also help me mentally as running is the time and space I can clear all my thoughts and realise how lucky we all are in many ways. Any donation will help me get to the end of 26.2 miles!
