Good people..what are your views on cooking with wine if you're doing a sponsored Dryathlon? Im dead against it but Luke has called me "extremist" for refusing to eat his bolognaise! Am I right or am I wrong??

That's it...first donation received...can't back out now! Cheers Diane
Thanks for visiting my Justgiving page :)
No one is more surprised than me to be doing a Dryathlon. I had seen a few posters around town advertising it but never really gave it another thought. Then on New Years Day I logged onto my Facebook account and saw a fellow FBer had uploaded a Just Giving page raising money for cancer via not drinking throughout January. I doubt i will ever be able to run a marathon (the longest race I did was 5k and that was years ago) and you will not get me to bungee jump for love no money...but this, I can do! (I think...) I have also recently been inspired by a good friend who is training for a marathon in aid of Cancer charities and would like to do at least something for the cause. For those of you that know me, you will know that this challenge will probably be my Everest! I fully expect to receive messages from friends and family when they find out about this asking if it is a joke...
I've decided to raise money for Cancer Research. Unfortunately Cancer has touched far too many people's lives. Members of my own family have experienced cancer and some are sadly no longer with us. Friends of mine have also been affected and been left devestated.
The statistics about Cancer are frightening and anything that can be donated towards these massively worthwhile and hardworking charities will be gratefully received.
So, please donate to this worthy cause and I will keep up my side of the bargain. When I think in selfish terms about how much I would like a bevvy after a long day, I will remind myself of those who are no longer with us to enjoy a drink or otherwise.
Cheers!
