Nearly everyone we know has been effected by Cancer, which is why this is important to us! We both have been effected by it personally, have watched others that we love be effected, know of those who have lost and those who have battled their way through this awful disease! So we are going to be walking 26 miles around London through the night on September the 23rd, and any  generous donations will go such a long way and this is why...

Cancer Research UK is a cancer research and awareness charity in the UK and its aim is to reduce the number of deaths from cancer. As the world's largest independent cancer research charity it conducts research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Research activities are carried out in institutes, universities and hospitals across the UK, both by the charity's own employees and by its grant-funded researchers. It also provides information about cancer and runs campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the disease and influencing public policy.

P.S. In typical Jess style I have added us to the wrong event, we are doing the 'Shine Night Walk' (http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/support-us/find-an-event/charity-walks/shine-night-walk/london) and not the 'London Marathon Walk with Discover Adventure'. The event is happening on the same day but just at a different place! All the money we raise will still go to Cancer Research though!
