I will be running the London marathon on 28th April and thought this would be an excellent opportunity to raise some money for a charity that my family has been involved with for many years now.

My sister, Alice, unfortunately inherited a set of genes which meant that she developed Krabbe's leukodystrophy a rare and fatal disease resulting in progressive damage to the nervous system.

Metabolic Support is a fantastic charity which helped support my parents at a particularly tough time and continues to help improve the lives of all of those affected by inherited metabolic diseases.  

It might not be my first marathon, but will definitely be the biggest and I can promise I won't be finding it easy!
