I am putting on some workshops in the garden of our Lytham house to raise money for Asthma UK. I was born with severe asthma and the quality of life I lead now is due to the research and innovations of organizations like Asthma UK. One of these innovations is a new drug that I'm waiting to receive called Dupilumab, which has been shown to reduce the number of severe asthma attacks, improve lungs function, and reduce cortico-steroid use, as well as help my eczema.
They have always been supportive with their information, and particularly so during this pandemic. The weekly emails I have received, and continue to receive, have given me precise and succinct information that directly affects me and my asthma and the steps I need to take to protect myself.
All the staff of Asthma UK are volunteers, and I hope you can spare some money for this cause that is close to my heart.
