The Jesup Memorial Library is our family's second living room. Every week you will find us there--sometimes twice!--loading up on books, getting advice on what to read next, and chatting with the amazing Jesup staff. Before COVID times we hung out in the Reading/Periodicals room, attended programs, and even sometimes attended dances.

COVID has hit Jesup hard, forcing them to close this spring. Now staff work extra hard, putting their health at risk to serve the public. Programs were cancelled, then moved online. The library has pivoted as hard as they could, but fundraising is a challenge when people can't be in the library as often as they usually are. 

So we're going to help them out.

We will match for every donation that people make up to $1,000. PLUS, Machias Savings Bank has generously committed to match up to $2,500 of funds raised on Giving Tuesday. This means that whatever you give will actually be tripled. Let's face it, it's as good a deal as you're going to find in 2020.
