Story
Russell Hogg was Scotland's 3rd most capped International badminton player with 117 International caps who passed away in 2012 at the age of 44 years. Russell represented his country at every level and was reserve for the Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992.
His two passions in life were to play badminton and, in his later years, a true desire to promote disability sport.
The Russell Hogg Trust has been set up according to Russell's wishes, to support both young aspiring badminton players from the age of 6 years to 16 years and disabled athletes of all ages. The Trust will give priority attention to supporting them to achieve their sales and ambitions and to achieve at the highest possible level.
The first charity event was successfully completed between 31 May and 3 June 2013 where a team of riders cycled 150 miles coast to coast between Inverness Harbour and Ardnamurchan Lighthouse.
The riders numbered 27 in total, many of whom were from the world of badminton, and were joined by others with a love for mountain biking. All knew Russell and dedicated themselves to raising funds for the Trust.
A great total has been raised so far and any further donations are very warmly received. please donate as little or as much as you can to benefit these two important areas.
