Another 10K to do, this time I'm going back to where it all began!  On December 17th 2011 I ran the Saltwell 10K after only taking up running in August of that year.  I was 'asked' to do it by one of my bosses who pestered me into doing a 10K with him!  This one happened to be suitable so we both signed up for it.

I upped my training and about a month before the race took place, my boss dropped out saying he was off on holiday the day before the run!  So I decided to go ahead and do it which I did for 2 reasons!

1) Do say I had done it (it was also the 100th anniversary of the run so that was a reason to get involved)

2) To rub it into my boss that I did while he bottled it to go on holiday instead.  I still won't let him live it down now, whenever he tries to critise me about my technique/training I just tell him I did this race and he didn't! :-)

So I thought why not do it again this year?  So I am, and I'm doing it for charity again but a different charity than last year, this time, the charity is Heel and Toe!

I ran the Great North 10K and 5K for them this year and I've decided to make them the charity I now do all my runs for.

Heel and Toe provide free therapy to children with Cerebral Palsy, Dyspraxia and any other movement conditions.
