Zeph's ride for Ukraine · 18 April 2022

More than 10 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they need shelter, food and water. Donate now.

Story

In thinking about the children and families who are having to flee war in Ukraine right now, Zeph wanted to send his teddy bear to them. We began collecting some items that we could donate and Zeph got to thinking about how he could raise money too.

So we landed on this sponsored challenge. Zeph has given himself the challenge of cycling 11km around a bridleway, the furthest he's ever ridden by far (try back and forth down the road as his biggest distance so far!)

He is so excited about being able to make a difference to people's lives and wants to thank anyone and everyone who sponsors him in advance.

Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, causing hundreds of thousands to flee. Homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Essential services have been hit. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care. £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month £50 could provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month
