TIC (Tourettes-Syndrome Inclusion in the Community) supports people in Hull and Yorkshire who are affected by Tourettes Syndrome. Tourettes Syndrome is a neurological condition that affects 1 in 100 school children and is lifelong. we provide support groups for our members, and deliver awareness talks to schools and other organisations. we aim to reduce social exclusion and stigma associated with the condition locally. We have only being running for a little over a year but aim to provide future workshops and training in order to promote self-help.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

There is currently no treatment pathway for people with Tourettes and families have, and continue to, rely on the support of groups and charities. We have personal experience of this and although we have been luckier than some we would not have been able to come through it without the help of others. Contrary to what the media may have you believe Tourettes can be truly debilitating for both the sufferer and their families.
