We raise funds to support The Walton Centre in Liverpool

Story

On the 25th August 2014 at 1pm, Claire Barnett, Paul Myers, Jenny Attard, Paul Hughes, Louise Breslin, Fadi Hanna and I will be riding the Liverpool Zipwire in aid of The Walton Centre's Home from Home appeal and in memory of my beautiful sister Joanne Dixon. The Home from Home Appeal aims to raise funds, to pay for eight, ensuite bedrooms for relatives who want to stay near loved ones undergoing treatment in the hospital. The appeal will also pay for extra facilities for specialised rehabilitation patients, including therapy gardens and gym equipment. At the moment, many families are sleeping in chairs in visitor rooms when they want to stay close to relatives in the Critical Care unit.  The ZipWire Challenge is an extreme Zip Wire Thrill-Seeker attraction challenge for those who like fun and excitement. This attraction and event is the UK's first City Centre Challenge right in the heart of Liverpool, starting at Church Street and spanning nearly 1000ft. from a launch height of almost 100ft.

This ZipWire might seem easy for some- but it's going to be a big challenge for those of us who don't like heights!  Thank you for anything you may be able to add to our fund x Thanks again xx
