For those of you that know me, you know I have always funded organizations that lift youth through the work of my Foundation. Youth today are facing so much more pressures than what I ever had to endure. Today youth are faced with social media, drugs, pressure to perform, depression and anxiety. One in 5 youth suffer with mental illness and many of them suffer in silence which can lead to self-harm, drug and alcohol abuse, poor relationships, bad decisions and even worse, suicide. I have spoken with many of you who have a child or know of one who is suffering. The youth that are suffering in silence are who the predators seek after. As a community these children need our help. Whether it is funding an organization, volunteering our time or just being available, each of us can make a positive difference in a child’s life.
