Story

My Name is Jodie and my Husband is called Joe we have decided this year to run in the Great North Run which is 13.5 Miles (Half Marathon),  to raise as much money as we can for a charity called 'Scotty's Little Soldiers' (please take the time to read the blurb below and find out exactly what this charity is about.)

Joe has previously served in the army for 9 years and has served 2 tours in Afghanistan in which we were fortunate for him to return, We know that for some families this isn't always the case. And the children of these families are extremely affected by this, please help me and Joe raise as much money as we can for this charity, to help the next generation get the support that they need at the most vital time in their lives.

Thank You for taking time to read this and for donating.

Wish us Luck!!

Scotty's Little Soldiers is a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who have experienced the death of a parent, who served in the British Armed Forces. Inspired by the experience of Army widow Nikki Scott following the death of her husband Cpl Lee Scott in Afghanistan in 2009, the charity is currently providing assistance to hundreds of bereaved Forces children around the UK. Scotty's provide help and support to bereaved military children and young people aged 0-25, through four Family Programmes; Smiles, Support, Strides and Springboard. You can find out more on the programmes by heading over to their website. https://www.scottyslittlesoldiers.co.uk#HelpTheirChildrenSmile
