So some of you will be aware this year I was diagnosed with cervical cancer which was picked up from a routine smear test. As you can imagine hearing the C word completely petrified me as I didn’t know what was to come. After having to have an open radical hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection the amazing nhs gyne onchologists we’re sure they’d ridded me of this horrible disease which I will ever be grateful for!

Luckily for me I already had my 2 beautiful boys.

After my surgery I still had so much healing to do, physically and mentally and this is where Jos cervical cancer trust were amazing! They helped me understand that all I was feeling was completely normal and that I wasn’t alone as I tried to adjust to my new body after the surgery forced me into early  menopause and the physical changes  from the surgery.

So this is me wanting to give something back and help towards helping someone else affected by cervical cancer or the campaign for the importance of smear tests, they could just save your life, it certainly did for me!

So please if you can spare any pennies this is a great charity!
