I created this page because I want to make a difference for anyone living with type 1 diabetes. In my free time, I enjoy nothing more than a long ride on my motorcycle. In 2019, I began what will hopefully be a long standing tradition of raising money for different nonprofit organizations while riding to different destinations around the United States. In October, I will be starting my journey in Sea Girt, NJ and ending at the steps of the Diabetes Research Institute on the University of Miami campus in Miami, Florida. I chose to raise money for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation because whether it’s directly or indirectly, I believe everyone is touched by diabetes. Whether it’s your own children or your friend’s children, those living with diabetes can live a much more normal life than they could years ago thanks to all the dedication and progress made by the incredible people at DRIF. But there is still more work to be done. It’s especially imperative now given all that is going on with COVID19. Unfortunately, people living with diabetes are more susceptible to contracting the virus so I feel there is no better time than now to do what I can to help fight against diabetes.
