Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decided to cycle Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 for my charity Sea Cadets. Sea Cadets is an amazing youth development organisation who prepares young people for life through nautical adventure and vocational activities. They also offer a place for young people to ‘belong’, to tackling loneliness and boost self-confidence. As well as truly prepare them for the modern and all of its challenges.

This is a truly worthwhile cause, and any donations you can share are incredibly appreciated. Please feel free to come and cheer for us on the day as well!

"The world moves so fast today, and the change can be exhilarating and life-opening, but also terrifying, especially for young people with less back-up at home. Sea Cadets has a tangible, lasting and positive impact on young people. Almost half our groups work in economically challenged areas and 31% of our cadets are drawn from the poorest 25% in the UK. The difference we make to the lives of our cadets carries with them throughout all aspects of their lives. At Sea Cadets young people get comfortable with meeting people from different places and backgrounds, 92% of cadets say they now work better with others. They also pick up qualifications which boost their CVs and the life-skills they learn helps set them up for the future. Last year cadets earned more than 45,000 qualifications, including 2,933 BTEC level 1 award and parents see qualifications as one of the top three benefits of their child joining Sea Cadets. Your money helps us impact more young people in hard to reach areas. Thank you!"
