We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

As a newcomer this year to the world of road cycling, I am about to set off on my first long distance ride (3 days and nearly 200 miles, allowing for the odd wrong turn). I will be travelling with a group of much fitter friends but hope that my training on the hills of Bristol and North Somerset will keep me up to speed. We start out from St Bees Head in Cumbria on Thursday 20th June, stopping at Watermillock by Lake Ullswater, then Richmond in Yorkshire, before reaching Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough on the Saturday. Follow the route with this link http://connect.garmin.com/course/3380224

I have decided to raise money for Aspire to support Will Clark, a young man from Grasmere in the Lake District who was paralysed in an accident last summer during a sponsored triathlon. The proceeds will go to a fund run by a group of local volunteers to aid him in his recovery and enable him to live with as much independence as possible in the community. We will be passing not far from his home on the first leg of our ride. Read more about Will here http://www.willclarkfund.org/home
