We are the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA), the expert voice and leading source of support and information to people with spinal cord injury (SCI). The daily experiences of our members their concerns, challenges and aspirations drive our work and our vision for a fulfilled life for everyone affected by spinal cord injury (SCI).
Our Peer Support Officers who all have personal experience of SCI and free Telephone Advice Line, Casework Service, offer support from the point of injury or diagnosis and beyond
Our Public Affairs Team campaigns for change and fairness, lobbying Government and other decision makers
Our SCI Nurse Specialists help drive improvements to the quality of care and nursing standards across the SCI community.
Established in 1974, we have 10,000 members of which 7,100 have a SCI. More than 50% of our staff and 80% of our trustees are SCI.
