I'm raising money for ABF The Soldiers' Charity who provide vital support to soldiers, veterans and their families in times of need. For Soldiers. For Life. I have served for 8 years in the Rifles Regiment and have seen first hand the value and impact of their support to the military community both serving and veteran. 

The Marathon des Sables (MdS) is a well known ultra marathon stage foot race. This November sees the first ever MdS to be run outside of Africa. This pilot race follows the same construct of running 250km through the desert in 7 stages whilst self sufficient. I will carry all my food, clothes and equipment for the entire week and will be rationed with water replenishments. I completed the original MdS in the sahara in 2014 and now I intend to complete the same feat on a different continent. It was the hardest, most gruelling experience of my life in 2014 and I cant quite believe I've got myself in to this situation once more. 

I hope you will be able to appreciate the magnitude of the physical and psychological undertaking and appreciate that it is in aid of a charity that is close to my heart and one that does so much good for the soldiers and families of the British Army.
