Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am walking 70 miles of the Dorset ridgeway from Broadchalke to Lyme Regis between 30th May and 2nd June 2009. This is to raise money for equipment to be sent to Wau hospital via the Poole Africa link. I visited this hospital with four other staff members from Poole hospital in April. Even a small amount of money would allow us to send out a supply of Venous Cannulae so that family members don't have to go into the market to buy one when their relative is admitted as an emergency.

Thankyou for supporting me with this.

About the charity

It is a partnership between Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Wau teaching hospital in Southern Sudan. It aims to address the needs of the hospital which is dire straits and recovering from the very long civil war in Sudan, by assisting with teaching and training for doctors and nurses. Teams from Poole visit Wau twice a year and have already started to improve the health care of these needy people. Your help is needed to support this vital work.
