Story
For all my life, I've never bothered with New Year resolutions. But now
we enter 2018, I've signed myself to a series of challenges as a way to
pushing myself beyond limits. In doing so, I'll be taking part in four
fundraising efforts with four charities throughout the year. I hope
you're able to be part of my journey and help in whatever way you can.
I've chosen Prostate Cancer as one of my charities for a number of reasons. Firstly, it's a cancer that's most common among men and is tragically difficult to detect. Secondly, I've been following this particular organisation for the past few years and seen the progress they've made in ensuring people who have this cancer are heard as well as dedicating a lot of their funds in research. Not only that, but their hardwork and dedication has seen their list of supporters (particularly in football) blossom. I raise my hat to the likes of Jeff Stelling who walk from stadium-to-stadium to raise awareness.
So I've decided to do a walk of my own. As a Chelsea FC supporter, I thought it'd only be right to organise a walk from Stamford Bridge to their training ground in Cobham. This will take place on Saturday 12th May 2018. Interested in being part of this 16 mile walk? Contact me via Facebook, or email on john-price@hotmail.co.uk.
