Dementia is something that will affect 1 in 3 of us in our lifetimes.

Currently, over 850,000 people in the UK suffer from dementia, and this is set to rise.

We, John Shepherd Estate Agents, are hosting a public event on 26 May between 12:00 and 14:00 to help raise awareness for our chosen charity of the year.

We put our charity of the year to a vote, and here is what some of our staff had to say:

“My grandad was the strongest man I knew. He was brave, knowledgeable and courageous, my world. He unfortunately died last year with Dementia.
From a child I never left his side and even on his last breath I was with him. He also said I was his favourite grandchild “

And:

“My lovely granddad lost his battle 6 years back and was the glue of the family. This is something so close to me and I’d love for one day there be something out there meaning other families don’t go through the same!”
