I am taking part in the Manchester Marathon on 16th April 2023 to raise money for Dorothy House. Dorothy House is an incredible charity that helps those with serious illnesses by giving them palliative and hospice care, and generally supporting these individuals and their families throughout their illness.

I have seen first hand the brilliant work they do, and so in setting myself the challenge of running a marathon I thought it would be a good idea to raise as much money for Dorothy House as possible with your help. 

This past year Dorothy House and its nurses and carers have shown themselves to be compassionate, caring and effective in challenging and assessing the decisions of others, ensuring the best possible outcome for their charges, and making their lives as comfortable and vibrant as possible.

The hospice at Winsley is an incredible institution that provides an environment where families can come together in what is otherwise a difficult time, and where they provide exceptional care. This centre, as well as the work Dorothy House does in the community, is funded primarily through charitable donations and gifts in wills.
