Story
I am pushing myself through two amazing challenges over the next two months to help raise vital funds for the Island’s Mountbatten Hospice.
Challenge one - I shall be completing 90km of gruelling riding from one side of the Island to the other and back again! This is mostly off-road and taking on some of the steepest climbs…End 2 End is one of the most challenging cycling events in the Island's fundraising calendar.
Challenge two - I will be attempting a Lycra-clad ride on the road from London to Brighton. I’ll be swapping chunky tyres and mud for a 86km bone-shaking, pot-hole dodging spin from the Capital to the South Coast! This will include a gruesome climb over the fabled Ditchling Beacon…a mile of 9-16% gradient climbing about 40miles into the ride!
I know times are a bit tough for everyone at the moment, but by donating even a small amount that is affordable to you, you will be helping those who provide an amazing support service to those nearing the end and their families.
When you support the Mountbatten Hospice you are helping to ensure no-one is left die alone or without care on the Isle of Wight. Thank you.
You have chosen to support people living in our Island community facing one of the most difficult times in their lives. Thank you.Your fundraising will make the difference between someone dying alone and someone having a comfortable death, with support for the people they leave behind. Mountbatten relies on charitable donations to help ensure no-one is left to die alone or without care. We hope you also know just how much your support is appreciated.
