In just 2.5 weeks Jonette went from a diagnosis of leukaemia to passing away. It has been a terrible shock, and she is deeply missed.

Please join with us as we celebrate her life and some of the many things that she loved so dearly like bird watching, protecting Australian animals and Aboriginal land management and ranger programs by making a lasting bequest to Newhaven Wildlife Sanctuary. 

We have chosen Newhaven Wildlife Sanctuary because of the many years that Joni spent visiting central Australia, and her great love of desert birds and wildlife. We have also chosen to support Newhaven because we believe it is one of the 'best practice' models of environmental conservational and land management in Australia. This is a model of conservation that begins by acknowledging the Ngalia-Warlpiri/Luritja people as the traditional owners of Newhaven.
