I am taking part in one of the most unique endurance events in the world, a 3,000 nautical mile rowing race from the Canary Islands across the Atlantic Ocean to Antigua, as part of the Latitude 35 team, alongside Todd Hooper, Dixon McDonald and Jimmy Carroll. 

Together we will face seasickness, sunburn, rain, exhaustion, sleep deprivation, cramps, the challenge of four grown men crammed onto a 29 foot boat, and of course, the might of the Atlantic Ocean itself.

Although as a team we are raising money for a variety of causes, personally I am taking part in the challenge in order to support the Not Forgotten Association ("NFA"). The NFA is a fantastic charity that makes a very tangible difference to the everyday lives of members of the Armed Forces community, combatting isolation and loneliness, ensuring that no veteran is forgotten and that no one is left behind.
