Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am planning to shave what little hair I have left, off, for a good cause and I can't think of any more deserving than the Brainstrust, Meg Jones Brain Cancer Charity - no relation as far as I'm aware, but with a surname like Jones you never know......
brainstrust is a UK based brain cancer charity, dedicated to improving clinical care for brain tumour sufferers and providing co-ordinated support in their search for treatment. They provide support and advice at the point of diagnosis and beyond, by updating treatment, improving care and, ultimately, saving lives.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumour last October, and being one of the lucky ones, it was operable and after my radiotherapy, it's left me looking a bit, shall I say, lacking in the luscious locks department!
So, in preparation if my hair returns, I am going to start from a clean slate, so to speak. I would be forever grateful if you could spare any coins/even better notes :) in aid of this very worthy cause.
The event, dare I call it that, will take place on Sat 26th March 2011. And I'll upload the 'after' photo post this date. So you'll have the proof!
THANK YOU
Latest Update - At the end of April, after the latest scan, it was confirmed that I have NO RESIDUAL TUMOUR. I still can't believe I'm really typing those words. Next scan in 6 months! Hurrah!!
