After the year we've had there was a challenge brought to my attention and the cause was worthy so I chose to despite numerous injuries a broken leg last years, arthritis and diabetes to conquer all these will be quite something for me and raising money for charity will be a bonus.

About the Challenge:
28km with 540m elevation gain, starting in Nidderdale and ending at Ripley Castle, we're talking 3 or so hours of running in the July sun.
PLUS doing all this with the limited amount of sleep a newborn offers its parents.
